"Leila is especially a good fit for people who don’t just want validation, but are open to being challenged and doing the work."
I started seeing Leila for anxiety (including some driving anxiety after a car accident) and self-image issues. Neither were completely taking over my life, but they were enough to warrant addressing.
Like most people, I found the first session uncomfortable. Laying everything out to someone you just met is a weird experience, but that’s therapy in general, not anything specific to her. There was definitely a bit of a warming-up period on my end, but Leila handled that well and met me where I was.
What I’ve appreciated most is that she doesn’t just sit and listen—she pushes back when it’s needed. Sessions started off feeling more like venting, but over time they’ve become much more focused on actual progress. She also adjusts her approach based on how I respond, which has made the process feel more tailored rather than one-size-fits-all.
The anxiety I originally came in for has improved significantly—close to eliminated—and we’ve been able to shift focus toward deeper things like confidence and relationships. It feels like we addressed the more immediate issues first and then built from there.
Leila is especially a good fit for people who don’t just want validation, but are open to being challenged a bit and doing the work.
That said, therapy does take effort on your end. It’s not passive, and the first few sessions can feel uncomfortable. But if you’re willing to engage with the process, it’s been very worthwhile for me. I'd absolutely recommend Leila.
